Synopsis

The use of AI systems can lead to discriminatory decisions. This discrimination has its origin in biased data sets and biased human decisions. In this conference volume, questions of regulation (deficits) to avoid discrimination through the use of AI are examined in depth from an inter- and intradisciplinary perspective: In addition to an introduction from a legal perspective, insights from computer science and sociology as well as legal practice are also included. In addition to the relevant provisions of the AI Act (draft), DMA and DSA, questions of state liability, proxy discrimination in the context of the AGG (German General Act on Equal Treatment) in the case of unknown groups and data protection law will be dealt with.
